VIDIZMO Portal Navigation Guide for Digital Evidence Management and Redactor
This article provides a comprehensive overview of the Digital Evidence Management (DEM) portal interface. Use it to familiarize yourself with the main navigation areas, key pages, and common actions so you can move through the portal with confidence.
Note: Your portal interface may include additional features based on your product plan. If your plan includes Redaction, you will see redaction tools such as the Redact button and Studio Space on the playback page. If your plan includes Intelligence Hub, you will see options for chatbot, agent management, and workflow configuration in your navigation.
Portal Interface Overview
The DEM portal is organized into three main areas:
- Top navigation bar contains the portal logo, search bar, and quick-access buttons for features like the chatbot, workflow queue, and your profile.
- Side navigation panel is a collapsible panel on the left that provides access to your portals, admin tools, and portal-wide links.
- Evidence Library is the main landing page that displays all your evidence, cases, and folders, and provides navigation tabs for managing evidence across different states.
Evidence Library
When you first land on the portal, the Evidence Library serves as your home page. It is the central hub for browsing, organizing, and managing all digital evidence in your portal.

The Evidence Library is divided into a left sidebar and a main content area.
Left Sidebar
The left sidebar contains a collapsible folder hierarchy and the following navigation tabs:
- My Cases shows cases you own or have access to for organizing evidence.
- My Uploads shows all evidence you have uploaded.
- Quick Access shows recently accessed or frequently used evidence for quick retrieval.
- Assigned shows evidence that has been assigned to you for review or action.
- Flagged shows evidence that has been flagged for attention.
- Media Request shows evidence submission requests from external sources.
- Recycle Bin shows deleted evidence that can be restored or permanently removed.
- Expired shows evidence past its expiration date.
- Archived shows evidence moved to long-term archive.
- Infected Files shows files quarantined due to malware detection.
Note: The tabs visible in your Evidence Library depend on your permissions and portal configuration. Some tabs may not appear if the corresponding feature is not enabled.
Main Content Area
The main content area displays the evidence list based on the selected tab. It includes bulk action controls, a search bar, sorting options, and view mode toggles at the top. Evidence items are displayed below with tamper status badges (Verified or Tampered) shown on applicable items.
Adding New Evidence
A + Add New button with a dropdown is located on the action ribbon at the top of the content area, alongside the sort, view mode, and filter controls. The Evidence Library label also appears as a dropdown on the left side of this ribbon.

- Detail view is a table layout showing columns for Title, Uploaded By, Last Updated, Category, Chain of Custody, Reviewed By, and available actions.
- Tile view is a grid of evidence cards with thumbnails.
